Why RVs Need a Different Approach

An RV is not just a large car. Most have gelcoat or painted fiberglass sidewalls rather than automotive clear coat, aluminum or rubber roofs that require specific chemistry, and long flat surfaces that oxidize unevenly under sustained UV. The black streaking that runs down RV sidewalls is roof runoff carrying oxidized residue, and it needs a dedicated treatment rather than a stronger scrub.

What We Handle

Full exterior wash — Safe top-down wash sized for tall sidewalls, with proper reach equipment rather than pressure alone.
Black streak removal — The runoff staining below roof seams and awnings, treated chemically instead of abraded off.
Oxidation removal on gelcoat — Chalky, faded fiberglass compounded and polished back to gloss where the gelcoat still has life in it.
Sealant or coating — UV protection on sidewalls, which is what actually slows the next round of oxidation.
Awnings, wheels and trim — Cleaned individually, including wheel simulators and the storage bay doors.
Interior detailing — Available on request — cabin, upholstery, and living-area surfaces.

How much does RV detailing cost?

RVs and trailers are quoted individually, because length, height, roof type and oxidation level change the job completely. Send us the length and type and we will give you an honest range before scheduling.

Do you need water and power at the site?

No. Our rig carries its own water tank and generator, which is the main reason we can service storage lots and remote sites where no hookups exist.

Can you remove the black streaks on the sides?

Usually yes. Black streaking is roof runoff residue, and it responds to a dedicated streak remover rather than harder scrubbing. Streaks that have been baking on for years may leave faint shadowing, and we will tell you upfront if that is likely.

Can badly oxidized fiberglass be restored?

Often, yes. If the gelcoat still has thickness remaining, compounding and polishing brings back gloss. Where gelcoat has fully chalked through, restoration has limits and painting becomes the real fix — we assess honestly rather than promising a full recovery.

How long does an RV detail take?

It depends on the size of the rig and how much oxidation is present. We give you a realistic time estimate with your quote so you can plan site access.
